COVID-19 Update from the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO)

Hello friends,

We are certainly at unprecedented times. I’ve made a personal commitment to practice self-isolation and it has its challenges, but at the end of the day, it is for the greater good and it’ll give us a fighting chance.

The sooner, the better! At the moment, I am not practicing and it has been hard. I love my job as a massage therapist and the routine certainly has been different, but I know it is for the best.

In response to the COVID-19 situation, I have been monitoring the situation on a daily basis and go by the recommendations of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).

I have included the link to their stance regarding the situation:

COVID-19 Update: Massage Therapists Cannot Practice – Massage Therapy is Not Emergency Care

Although I am taking massage therapy appointments into April, that may change depending on the situation and I will continue to update you all as much as I can!

I thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we are all navigating these trying times. Together, we can get through this.

Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions or concerns.

In the meantime, I will be providing online consultations for stress and pain management. These consultations can include self-care exercises that include stretching, self-acupressure, and remedial exercises you can do on your own time from the safety of your home.

Until tomorrow,
